Responsibilities:

We have an excellent opportunity for a Civil Engineer on our Construction Services team in our Boston office. This exciting position combines civil and traffic engineering with construction management. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparation of design drawings, technical reports, construction plans, as well as managing construction projects in the field. and construction inspection of civil engineering projects.  Candidate should anticipate an approximate split between field work and office/remote work on a weekly basis.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Associates degree or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)
  • 5+ years’ experience in Civil Engineering (combination of field and design work).
  • Experience with municipal and/or private construction
  • Ability to interpret engineering sketches, notes, calculations, and verbal instructions, to create multidiscipline engineering drawings
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Primavera P6, and Microsoft Project
  • Ability to work well with contractors and provide field inspection/supervision
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work in team environment as an individual contributor
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to utilize critical thinking, judgment, and experience to define, analyze and resolve problems and issues
  • Some night, overnight, and weekend work may be required.
  • Access to vehicle for site inspections
