Renewables Mid-Level Electrical EngineerPOWER Engineers, Inc. is currently seeking a Mid Level Electrical Engineer to work in our Renewables Business Unit. This position will report to an existing POWER office with the ability to work remotely from a mutually agreed upon location. Roles and Responsibilities We are looking for someone with the basics in electrical engineering design skills and the right attitude to learn more! In this role, you will work as part of a multi-discipline engineering team leading and executing the electrical components of federal and industrial projects. The position will entail creating and issuing construction drawings and specifications, studies, and reports, as well as, being able to demonstrate good working design knowledge of grounding, lightning protection, surge protection, lighting, protective relaying, prime and standby generation, low and medium voltage motor control centers, low and medium voltage switchgear, medium voltage substations, and UPS systems. Applicant should have excellent knowledge and experience with the NEC, NFPA documents, ICC documents, UFC documents, energy codes, and applicable IEEE standards. Experience with modeling electrical systems and running power system studies using ETAP, PTW, and/or EasyPower is strongly preferred. Strong team leadership, mentoring, excellent communication skills, presentation skills, motivation, positive attitude, and ability to work on multiple projects concurrently will be core roles for this person. The applicant will interface directly with internal and external clients and will demonstrate a proven ability to drive projects to successful completion within budget and schedule constraints. Salary DOE: The pay range for this position is $80-120K per year; however, base pay may be higher or lower depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
