Entry-Level Transmission Line Engineer 

POWER Engineers is currently seeking an Entry-Level Transmission Line Engineer to work in its Power Delivery Carolina Line Department in Richmond, VA (reporting to our Fort Mill, SC office).  The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of transmission line design for new lines, relocations, upgrades, and fiber optic additions.

Required Education/Experience:                                                                         

• BSCE (Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering) degree from an accredited university
• The candidate must have a strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills to work effectively with internal team members and external client personnel
• Experience using the Microsoft Office software suite

Desired Education/Experience:

• Minimum 2.75 Grade Point Average (GPA)
• Ideal coursework includes structural analysis, concrete design, steel design, soil mechanics, foundation design, and surveying
• Previous engineering design or drafting work experience, especially if related to civil and/or structural engineering, is desirable
• Engineer In Training (EIT) registration is desired
• Familiarity with design, drafting or engineering software such as MATHCAD, SOLIDWORKS, AUTOCAD, etc. as well as Microsoft Excel is beneficial.
