OVERVIEW:

Radio One is currently looking for a National Sales Coordinator to join our Raleigh/Richmond sales team  to competently* and professionally* assist and support the National Sales Department with internal administrative processes such as reports, order entry, production, programming and working with Traffic & Continuity.

 

  ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:  

·          Understand sales terms and functions and acts as an extension of the sales team.

·          Enter and monitor corporate sales and national orders.

·          Create and implement on-air radio schedules.

·          Collaborate with management, National Sales Manager  and Sales Support to ensure commercial spots are executed.

·          Monitor changes and resolve sales, continuity, programming, traffic, and accounting department discrepancies.

·          Help create, revise, and adjust presentations, sales kits, and recaps.

·          Assist with the execution of sales-related promotions and contests

·          Manage National Sales Reports on an ongoing basis.

·          Provide clerical support, including the filing of contracts.

·          Generate contract confirmations, reports related to sales activities & revenue data, pool reports, unapproved credits, etc.

·          Respond to client requests, e.g., spot times

·          Maintain client lists and other client data

 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and effectively manage time
  • Self-starter with the ability to take and follow direction
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with the station’s clients and listeners

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

·          Bachelor’s Degree preferred; minimum three years of Radio and/or Network experience.

·          Proficient in Microsoft Office Word and Excel.

·          Must have reasonable knowledge of and experience with PowerPoint.

·          Previous Media background in radio, digital, marketing, and advertising is a plus

·          Wide Orbit/VCreative software experience is a plus
