Mandatory Vaccination Requirement:

Urban One, Inc. and its divisions (collectively “Urban One” or the “Company”) have implemented a mandatory vaccination policy pursuant to which all employees must be fully vaccinated as a condition of employment to safeguard their health and well-being, as well as that of their coworkers, families, and the community at large, from the risks associated with COVID-19. Candidates should be aware that new employees will be required to be vaccinated by their start date, meaning they have received all of the recommended doses for either a one dose or two dose COVID-19 vaccine, and provide proof of vaccination status (e.g. CDC COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card) , which will be kept confidential. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Support content department staff, operations and special projects
  • Provide analytics weekly for NO, C, and HB
  • Assist with logistics for editorial based events in NYC and ATL
  • Assist with writing, editing and posting digital content as needed
  • Assist with production team as needed
  • Work directly with Editorial Operations Manager and support as needed
  • Assist in the organization of travel arrangements, conferences, and meetings.
  • Attend and take minutes at meetings as requested ensuring that information, decisions, and action points are correctly recorded and distributed.
  • Prepare expense reimbursement submissions so that payments can be paid accurately and on time
  • Ensure that all management report – timesheet and expenses are addresses and approved on a timely basis.
  • Complies with Network and Urban One’s mandatory trainings and adheres to related course deadlines.

CRITICAL COMPETENCIES FOR SUCCESS:

  • Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Google Analytics
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to problem-solve, prioritize, and manage heavy workloads to deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • A professional manner and the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • At least three years’ experience as an assistant on a busy desk.
  • The ability to anticipate and preemptively manage executive needs.
  • Ability to multi-task and stay cool in a fast-paced environment.
  • Meticulous organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with all staff levels.
  • Interest and experience in technology and/or digital media.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
