Position Summary

 

The Senior Manager, International Affiliate Finance will provide support to the Executive Director FP&A and will partner with the leadership teams of affiliate businesses to provide commercial and financial insights and drive Financial Planning and analysis. This is a critical business partnering role requiring the ability to leverage strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to engage and influence affiliate General Managers and their in-country leadership teams. This role will also require working with stakeholders across the international division.

 

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

 

1.

·      Responsible for all financial planning for specific international affiliates. Responsibilities include Budgets, Forecasts, Quarter estimates and the Long-Range plan.

2.

·      Responsible for all ‘actuals’ reporting, including monthly and quarterly analysis, and providing the General Managers and affiliate leadership with financial and commercial insights. This includes sales reporting and expense reporting.

3.

·      Responsible for financial and business analysis for business reviews and other ad-hoc business requirements.

4.

·      Support New Product Launches with input to sales force planning, territory alignment and market analysis.

5.

·      Support in market intelligence and data analytics projects. For example:

o   Tracking of pricing, in-market and ex-factory data.

o   Input into pricing strategies / scenarios in conjunction with Market Access

5.

·      Support the CRM system for sales reporting, analysis and business intelligence in response to stakeholder requests and requirements.

6.

·        Provide input to the S&OP process. Ability to segment/analyze and give feedback on sales patterns, patient dynamics, ordering patterns and compliance.

7.

·      Resolve operational issues with the help of finance, supply chain and legal department.

8.

·        Provide local liaison support for statutory financials & audits where applicable.

9.

·        Other ad hoc analysis and reporting as required by the International FP&A Team.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Requirements

 

Educational Requirements

·        Qualified to degree level

·        Professional accounting qualification preferred

 

Professional Work Experience Requirements

·        Experience in pharmaceutical or biotech industry preferred.

·        Track record of success in financial planning and business analytics.

·        Experience in business partnering and stakeholder management.

·        Experience in a commercial focused role where there has been considerable exposure to sales reporting and analysis; supporting new product launches; and commercial and operations decision support

·        Experience in using financial planning systems.

·        Ability to analyse data from several sources and use this to identify trends, opportunities / threats and make commercial and operational recommendations.

·        Experience in market research and other business intelligence activities would be beneficial.

 

Experience and skills

·        Strong interpersonal skills, including diplomacy and flexibility, and the ability to engage and influence key stakeholders through strong presentation & effective interpersonal skills.

·        Good collaboration skills, including excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels.

·        Operational experience in a commercial environment with experience of working on cross functional projects.

·        Passionate about business excellence in a cost-effective environment.

·        Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and financial systems (planning and accounting).

Travel
