Underground Transmission Drafter
POWER Engineers is currently seeking a Drafter to work in the Power Delivery Underground Line Department in our Fort Lauderdale, Florida office. The successful candidate will support underground transmission line project work and will develop detail drawings and plan & profile drawings to support permitting and construction packages.
Responsibilities:
- Working with engineers and other drafters in the creation of construction drawings for underground transmission lines, including: plan and profile drawings, detail drawings, cover sheet, and notes.
- Performing quality assurance checks on construction drawings
- Collaborating in both in-person meetings and internet calls
- Organizing projects and their subsequent files and documents
Required Education/Experience:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent technical education
- The candidate must have strong experience in AutoCAD 2010 or newer
Desired Education/Experience:
- 2+ years' experience with creating alignments, profiles, surfaces, and pipe networks in AutoCAD Civil 3D 2010 or newer
- Working knowledge of survey coordinate systems
- Experience interpreting surveys
- Experience with MicroStation
- Background in Mathematics
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
