Entry-Level Substation Civil/Structural Engineer
Job Summary of Roles and Responsibilities
POWER Engineers is seeking an Entry-Level Substation Civil/Structural Engineer to work in its Power Delivery Substation Department in Hailey, Idaho.
The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of civil design for substations, including permitting, site work, structural and foundation design, and support of substation physical design and equipment layout. Occasional travel will be required.
Required Education/Experience
- A BSCE (Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering) degree from an accredited university
- The candidate must have a strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills to work effectively with internal team members and external client personnel
- Candidate must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship
Desired Education/Experience
- Minimum 3.0 Grade Point Average (GPA)
- Ideal coursework includes structural analysis, concrete design, steel design, soil mechanics, foundation design, and surveying
- Structural analysis design software experience is a plus
- Previous engineering design or drafting work experience, especially if related to civil and/or structural engineering is desirable
- Engineer In Training certificate (EIT) or passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam
