Staff Assistant

POWER Engineers is currently seeking a Staff Assistant for the SCADA and Analytical Services (SAS) Engineering Department in our Clarkston, WA office.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provides direct or indirect assistance to engineers, administrative staff, and other departmental personnel, as well as general office support for the SAS department
  • Types transmittal letters, document control lists, meeting minutes, specifications, reports, etc.
  • Scan and copy documents for retention purposes. Responsible for organizing scanned documents on various local and network storage devices
  • Provides document control using our Document Management System
  • Follows internal records procedures as well as client-requested procedures
  • Acts as HR liaison for new hire orientations
  • Operates office equipment such as printers, scanners, and copy machines. Maintains equipment by troubleshooting failures; calling for repairs; monitoring equipment operation
  • Performs office reception tasks; greets visitors, answers phones, updates contact lists, ships packages, reserves conference rooms, orders catering, etc.
  • Manages vendor accounts for services and maintenance that support our Clarkston, WA office
  • Updates company and office calendars
  • Coordinates office events, meetings, and trainings
  • Enters travel requests, expense reports, and purchase requisitions
  • Perform light cleaning duties as required
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. on occasion
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Education/Experience

  • One (1) + year applicable experience or relevant degree
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Desired Education/Experience

  • Three (3) + years of relevant experience in engineering support
  • Able to multi-task, prioritize, and organize
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Able to work independently and as a team player
  • Self-starter, reliable, and hardworking
  • Able to take direction from multiple people
  • Able to learn new tasks and software
  • Accuracy and attention to detail

POWER is a fun engineering firm. That might seem contradictory to some, but it works for us! 

Base Hourly Range:  $18hr - $28hr

The range for this position is being displayed in compliance with all state and local regulations. Salaries are set based on a number of factors to include an individual's job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. This means that no two candidates are alike. The range provided above does not include additional compensation such as bonus, health benefits, vacation, 401(k) match, etc.
