POWER Engineers is currently seeking a Protection Engineer to work in the Power Delivery SCADA & Analytical Services (SAS) Department in our Syracuse, NY office. Flexibility is available for a hybrid work schedule. Candidates will be expected to travel on occasion, and work successfully in a customer focused, project-oriented environment.
Projects will require the candidate to conduct all work associated with protective relaying, including short circuit and symmetrical component analysis, time-current coordination, protection scheme and criteria development, relay settings, integration with SCADA systems, NERC compliance, arc flash analysis. Projects will be performed for utility, industrial and commercial clients. The candidate will also be required to analyze a variety of systems, which include conventional and renewable generation facilities, substations, and transmission & distribution systems. Base Salary Range: $90,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
The range for this position is being displayed in compliance with all state and local regulations. Salaries are set based on a number of factors to include an individual's job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. This means that no two candidates are alike. The range provided above does not include additional compensation such as bonus, health benefits, vacation, 401(k) match, etc.
