Sunflower, a generation and transmission cooperative serving Kansans, is hiring a Transmission Operations Technical Trainer in Great Bend, KS or Garden City, KS. This role will be responsible for leading technical training activities and programs, company-wide, for Transmission Operations. The successful candidate should be personable and collaborative, who enjoys training on a variety of topics with a variety of people. In addition to developing and executing trainings, this person will maintain training records and monitor training progressions while collaborating with safety and the training department.

Qualifications 

• Bachelors degree in training, education, management, applied science, electrical technology, or related field and four-years' experience in transmission, distribution, or construction and maintenance, preferably with additional experience in training facilitation, training development, coaching, development of operating procedures and processes, or technical writing, or equal combination of education and experience. 
• Able to prepare and present factual classroom training materials using various media. 
• Leadership skills and the ability to work with a variety of individuals, pivoting training methods if needed. 
• Skilled in safe work practices on transmission line and/or substation systems.
