Energy Operations Supervisor
JOB SUMMARY:
The Energy Operations Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the driver team, ensuring timely, safe, and efficient delivery of products/services to customers across multiple routes. This role is responsible for supervising drivers, optimizing delivery schedules, maintaining compliance with transportation regulations, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Supervise personnel to maximize profitability and customer service.
Responsible for all maintenance of the Energy truck fleet. Foster & maintain relationships with repair shops and control costs. Schedule and monitor preventive maintenance and repairs for trucks, trailers, and other vehicles. Monitor fleet performance metrics such as fuel efficiency, uptime/downtime, and repair costs.
Manage daily operations of commercial petroleum distribution.
Develop plans and direct efficient resources and equipment utilization.
Maintain eligibility and compliance for fuel loading at all terminals.
Participate in planning and developing repairs and upgrades to storage and dispensing facilities for the Energy Department.
Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and state transportation regulations.
Perform other job duties as assigned.
Use expertise to assist the Energy Director and the Outside Sales team when necessary.
Participate in special project work when advised.
Fill in for Energy Drivers as required.
Special Skills/Training:
Knowledge of management, supervision practices, and principles.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Working knowledge of trucks and equipment needed to operate department.
Knowledge of Federal and State Laws pertaining to trucking and hazardous material distribution.
Skill to operate a fuel delivery vehicle safely

Proficient computer skills.
Experience/Education:
Five years’ experience in a similar or related field (i.e. Fuel, Transportation, Route Delivery, etc.).
Three years of management experience.
Insurance accepted driving record.
Highly Preferred: CDL Class B Commercial Driver's License with Hazmat endorsement. Class A CDL preferred. OR- Ability to obtain a CDL.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift to 50 pounds.
Must be able to pull hose from truck, climb, bend, and stretch to pump fuel into the customer’s storage and inconvenient locations.
Ability to maneuver oil drums for delivery.
Working Conditions:
Outdoor work
This position requires occasional work in outdoor environments.
Employees must be prepared to work in a variety of weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and wind.
Appropriate outdoor gear and safety equipment will be provided as needed.
The role may involve standing, walking, or performing physical tasks for extended periods in outdoor settings.
Indoor work
This position requires frequent work in an indoor environment.
Employees should be comfortable working in climate-controlled environments with occasional exposure to noise, lighting variations, or other typical indoor conditions.
Noise from fuel trucks. Exposure to fumes and highly flammable products.
