Summary:
A solutions architect is responsible for creating a comprehensive architecture for SAP ecosystems solution and providing strategic direction throughout the development process. His/her responsibilities revolve around ensuring that the software solutions align with resources, risk identification, and planning. He/she will manage technical architecture analysis, research, design and development of new functionality and integration with key applications and services under SAP ecosystems. Design new solution extensions based on King’s Hawaiian requirements. Provide architecture and design guidance to the business systems analysts and development team.
Job Requirements:
Creates timelines for initiatives in Supply Chain, SAP-FICO regarding system functionality according to prioritization of Business User Groups.
Analyzes and resolves internal manufacturing and finance business/system requirements and 3rd party vendor capabilities. Including data flow modeling, workflow analysis and functional analysis to support and identify Finance business requirements.
Builds project plans, risk logs, issues log and project status reports.
Develops and revises process maps, user experiences, and acceptance tests as input to system implementations and upgrades.
Provides Functional Organization Support and Coordination by collaborating with partners and business specialists to develop, implement and test system functionality and impacts on other modules and provides training as required.
Interacts with upper management (e.g. directors and hiring managers) as Systems Administrator for all applications to identify appropriate security and access functional requirements and ensure they are met and maintained.
Coordinates with management to facilitate the hardware/software procurement process for all FICO (SAP) applications.
Leads and supports multi-functional project teams through the project lifecycle for improvement and reengineering initiatives. Including finding opportunities to use system capabilities to build more efficient processes.
Leads project implementation and deployment efforts and the preparation of systems/operations documentation to ensure business objectives are met.
Evaluates, selects and manages Application Solution Providers and outsourced implementation /support resources. Executes licensing agreements and support contract renewals
Skills/Experience:
12+ years of SAP implementation experience • 6+ years work experience in SAP product consulting, systems integration, or architect role.
BS degree in computer science or engineering with 5 years of experience or MS degree with 2 years of experience.
Have a good understanding of SAP best practices • Must have excellent expertise in ABAP development with very good understanding of SAP modules such as Finance, MM, PP, QM, SD, PLM, and APO • Must have excellent expertise in mapping, custom idoc fields and segments
Must have an excellent understanding of integration / API development • Must be an expert in analyzing, creating system specifications, and developing tests and implementing business solutions utilizing SAP technologies
Must have extensive development experience using ABAP objects, HANA SQL Programming, SAP Fiori Developments, OData developments.
Experience working with interfaces in addition to Web Services, such as Java connectors and Rest APIs communicating with non-SAP applications • Must have good experience with SAP security concepts and must have implemented authorization checks in ABAP objects
Experience managing projects and working with a team of Business Systems Analysts and Engineers (developers)
Expertise in doing Solution demos and presentations to stakeholders/architects
Ability to assess and manage technical risks and issues
Able to report both verbally and in writing to executive level • Must have good communication skills and should have a proven ability to meet deadlines without compromising quality
