Position Overview

 

Perform a variety of general accounting functions under the supervision of the Accounting Manager.

 

Responsibilities Include:

 

  • Prepare and document monthly journal entries including prepaid, depreciation, key accruals, reclasses.
  • Complete general ledger operations.
  • Assist in monthly closings and preparation of financial statements.
  • Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts.
  • Prepare analysis of accounts, as needed.
  • Support team in closing by BD3.
  • Oversee $3m credit and collections portfolio. Includes customer calls, managing dashboards and liaising with sales team and regional credit team.
  • Process customer reimbursements and customer credits.
  • Monitor customer orders on hold dashboard and release orders with approval.
  • Back-up accounts payable.
  • Customer invoicing on portals.
  • Set up new customers in Eclipse.
  • Ad-hoc reporting and corporate reporting.
  • Prepare account and bank reconciliations.
  • Assist with preparation and coordination of the audit process.
  • Assist with implementation and maintenance of internal financial controls and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager.

 

The ideal candidate will have:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or other business degree preferred.
  • Previous professional accounting experience required.
  • Experience with GAAP/accrual accounting required.
  • Proficient in Enterprise ERP/GL preferred.
  • Advanced or greater proficiency with Microsoft Word & Excel required.
