CHEF DE PARTIE - EVENTS 

Hamilton Island's dedicated Events team is now looking for a Chef de Partie to join their team. More than just a holiday destination, Hamilton Island also plays host to a vast range of conferences, weddings and special events, most notably Hamilton Island Race Week. With the largest conference facilities in the region and a multitude of packages and services available, Hamilton Island is a business tourism paradise.

About The Role

• Live on island, full time permanent position, shifts on a rotating roster
• Large variety of events ranging from live bbq stations, street parades, cooking lessons and master classes to triathlons, Hamilton Island Race Week, The Great Barrier Feast and more!
• 120+ corporate functions and 450+ weddings annually
• Conventions up to 1000 pax (60-120 pax average)
• Be mentored by industry professionals
• Maintain Hamilton Island’s consistent standards of excellence

About You

• Must have successfully completed Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery
• Open manual Australian driver licence essential
• Minimum 3 years post-apprenticeship experience
• Previous experience in upmarket and off-site catering and/or luxury hotel banqueting
• Demonstrated experience managing busy kitchens and leading teams  
• A great attitude and willingness to learn and contribute to the success of your team
• Impeccable grooming and personal presentation
