AGI TRUCK DRIVER / BATCH PLANT OPERATOR
 

Hamilton Island is now seeking an experienced Agi Truck Driver / Batch Plant Operator to join our Earthworks team. Based on-island, this is a hands-on opportunity to work in one of the most beautiful and unique environments in Australia while developing your skills in plant operation and concrete batching.

About the Role

This role is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Agi trucks and other Earthworks machinery, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products for the island’s construction and infrastructure projects. You’ll also support concrete batching operations and general labouring as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate batch plant and Agi trucks to deliver high-quality concrete products
• Perform road patching, traffic control and general earthworks labouring
• Assist with batching and plant operations as required by the Earthworks Manager
• Ensure vehicles are roadworthy, clean and serviced regularly
• Accurately record labour, machine hours, and materials used
• Emergency work at any time of the day or night as required e.g. in the case of heavy rains or cyclone
• Maintain strong safety and compliance standards at all times

What You’ll Need

• Minimum 2 years of experience operating Agi trucks (Essential)
• HR truck licence (Essential)
• Loader licence (Desirable)
• Eligible to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) (Essential)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to work a flexible roster, including callouts
