Assoc Install & Service Tech
Mississauga, ON / Full-time (On-Site)
Pay rate $21.69 - $28.92 hourly
Your responsibilities
The Associate Service Installation & Service Technician will be will be performing inspection and appliance classification in addition to minor repairs on appliances in consumers’ homes, retailers location and in our warehouse. The role will be as well supporting the service technicians with 2-men jobs, major repairs and appliance installation.
Assist Field Service Technicians in the repair and maintenance of BSH major appliances. This includes troubleshooting issues, replacing faulty parts, and ensuring that repairs are completed accurately and efficiently.
Under direct supervision of the Field Service Technician, send progress updates to other technicians, supervisors, and customer service teams throughout the day. Provide updates on repair status, any challenges encountered, and estimated completion times.
Assist in the installation of all assigned BSH major appliances as directed by management. This may involve helping Field Service Technician set up new appliances, connecting electrical and plumbing components, and ensuring proper functionality.
Perform various administrative duties, including updating work orders on a daily basis, documenting completed repairs, and submitting necessary paperwork promptly. Maintain accurate records of completed repairs and ensure all necessary documentation is properly filed.
Take responsibility for maintaining a clean and operational vehicle.
Perform B stock inspection on returned units such as dishwashers and Refrigerators to classify them for repair, sale, or recycling.
Perform B stock basic repairs on home appliance units such as panel replacement or legs replacement.
Occasionally repacking product that would have a damaged box or wrapping.
Perform all other duties as reasonably required.
Your Profile
High-School Diploma – Required
Associate degree – Preferred
0-2 Years of Experience (Appliance Service Technician) – Required
0-2 Years of Experience (Customer service Role) – Required
Excellent customer relations skills
Functional basic math skills
Ability to explain actions taken to customers in an understandable and logical manner
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Self-disciplined and motivated
Effective organization and time management skills
Ability to assist in repairs effectively while applying safe practices on the job
Excellent Mechanical aptitude
Ability to complete multiple repairs/installations daily
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Competent in basic computer operation, email, etc.
