Sr. Product Manager, Cooking
Irvine, CA/ Full-time
Your responsibilities
The Sr Product Manager reports to the Head of Product Management and is responsible for strategic input to product management as well as execution from concept to product launch. This includes describing requirements, closely collaborating with the team, accepting or rejecting work results, and steering the project by tracking and forecasting its progress.
As an entrepreneur, the Sr Product Manager facilitates creativity; encourages innovation; and is comfortable with change, ambiguity, debate, conflict, playfulness, experimentation, and informed risk taking. The Sr Product Manager will be accountable for the business field/category in regards to deriving products from consumers’ pain & gain points as well as their shopping behavior. Based on the analysis of the trends the Sr Product Manager will define the future roadmap requirement and drive the globally aligned roadmap to successful launch. They would be responsible for steering the development of the product along with budgetary steering of resources to ensure metrics like cost, quality and timeline are met. The cross-functional project manager will be the co-pilot in this effort. As the individual responsible for the product’s success, the product owner provides guidance and direction for everyone involved in the development effort and ensures that tough decisions are made. At the same time, the Sr Product Manager must be a team player who relies on close collaboration with the other team members, yet has no formal authority over them.
The Sr Product Manager will be managing complex categories in terms of revenues and will have the assistance of the BU head in terms of delivering on KPIs for business success and definition of the vision.

Your profile
· Bachelor’s degree (business administration, marketing) – Required
· Master's Degree (business administration, marketing) – Preferred
· 7-10 Years of Experience (category management, product management, product marketing, innovation management, user research, project management, strategy consulting) – Required
· Optimistic, creative and motivating personality, with excellent problem solving skills
· Market and consumer knowledge, knowing customers and stakeholders
· Sensing of market gaps and resulting product opportunities
· End-to-end understanding of value chain and in-depth knowledge of product development process
· Experience in definition and development of new products and integration in existing portfolio of products and brands
· Linking and leveraging of digital product potentials
· Project management competences and ability to reflect consumer requirements
· Awareness of critical future capabilities based on strategic ambition and existing gaps, ability to close those gaps and set further trends
· Excellent at decision making based on different resolution of available data
· Strong collaboration/ communication skills in dealing with different stakeholders, sought-after networker & partner; ability to aligns different parties, including customers, users, development, operations, and management. The product manager is the voice of the customer, communicating customer needs and requirements and bridging the gap between different parts of the organization
· Experience in using agile methods/ new ways of collaboration
· Analytical, planning and negotiation skills
· Ability to provide purpose, commitment and transparency as well as setting clear expectations
· Travel required based on business needs; domestic and international
· Travel Percentage – 30%
Your Pay & Benefits
The pay range posted for this position is based on the location noted in the posting title. Exact compensation offered may vary based on your specific skillset and work location. If the position is bonus or incentive eligible then the payments range from 0% to 200% of target with details laid out within the plan document.
Benefits offered include the following:

· Two weeks of paid vacation for all non-temporary status new hires below Director level positions. Vacation entitlement increases based on years of service with BSH.
· Unlimited paid vacation for all Director and above level positions.
· The greater of (a) 40 hours of paid sick leave or (b) state or local minimum requirements for paid leave (Non-Production Line).
· 40 hours of paid personal leave (Production Line).
· 12 days of paid holidays per year (max 8 hours paid per day).

· BSH provides ongoing product training, uniforms, computer tablet, cell phone and a company vehicle for eligible positions.
