Lead Production Associate, 1st Shift
LaFollette, TN / Full-time
Your responsibilities
Team Leader is responsible for day-to-day operations for area of which assigned in Fabrication area, including:
A. Daily safety guidelines
B. Meet quality standards, containment of quality issues if needed, and filter for non-conforming
product.
C. Meet production standards as outlined to factory goals and objectives
· Places the safety of team members in high esteem and educates them on safety tips and procedures to adhere to during the manufacturing process.
· Initiates safety talks/discussions with their team members.
· Must perform at an acceptable level based on the rating criteria for differentiating competence level (see Attachment A).
· Actively participates with 8D reports and root cause analysis when applicable.
· Maintains an even temperament in all situations, being patient with others.
· Is tolerant of others and accepting of differing views and concepts.
· Able to listen in a non-judgmental manner to all perspectives and offer suggestions for reaching equitable compromise.
· Is self-driven to get things done; can develop and manage a process improvement plan.
· Evaluates team members and provides development feedback to the supervisor.
· Facilitates communication- horizontally and laterally; Active participation in Gemba’s.
· Provides constructive and honest feedback to all levels of associates.
· Motivates team members to achieve their maximum potential.
· Shows respect to all employees.
· Maintains quality assurance standards per ISO.
· Monitors team members in the course of their work, and ensures they comply with the standards of operation.
· Actively carries out process confirmations per the guidelines for SOS’s, WIP, and Inventory.
· Awareness of productivity goals and understands/executes what is necessary to achieve the targeted results.
· Initiates problem solving when necessary (5-why, A3, etc.)
· Escalation of problems impacting productivity that may be outside of their direct control.
· Facilitation and management of autonomous TPM task (includes monitoring F-tags, and updating PM task board.
· Maintains 5S standards in the assigned area per the BSH Production System guidelines.
· Actively involves assigned employees in 5S activities; performs 5S process confirmations.
· Understands technical aspects of assigned area, and transfers technical “know-how” to the team members.
· Proficient computer skills; Excel (including data analysis/charts) & SAP
· Proficient in the training of employees and transferring of knowledge across area.

Your profile
· Associate degree – Required
· Associate degree (Technical Degree) – Preferred
· 5-7 Years of Experience (Technical manufacturing environment) – Required
· 0-2 Years of Experience (Experience with resistance welding and metal forming equipment) – Required
· Understands internal customer base and stakeholders.
· Partners with Assembly, Quality, Supply Chain and other support departments to ensure factory success.
· Understand the value chain of each department and how it is aligned with company strategy
· Strong understanding of plant and environmental safety.
· Strong understanding of pneumatic machines and components.
· Strong understanding of trouble shooting industrial equipment. Strong understanding of technical drawings.
· Excellent knowledge of safety practices and procedures around manufacturing equipment. Strong technical knowledge of resistance welding, sheet metal working and industrial controls.
· Must be able to operate all machine controls in Fabrication. Excellent trouble shooting skills.
· Computers, MS Office, word processing, telephone, calipers, and height gage of manufacturing machines, equipment and work stations, calculator, and basic hand tools.
Your Pay & Benefits
The pay range posted for this position is based on the location noted in the posting title. Exact compensation offered may vary based on your specific skillset and work location. If the position is bonus or incentive eligible then the payments range from 0% to 200% of target with details laid out within the plan document.
Benefits offered include the following:

· Two weeks of paid vacation for all non-temporary status new hires below Director level positions. Vacation entitlement increases based on years of service with BSH.
· Unlimited paid vacation for all Director and above level positions.
· The greater of (a) 40 hours of paid sick leave or (b) state or local minimum requirements for paid leave (Non-Production Line).
· 40 hours of paid personal leave (Production Line).
· 12 days of paid holidays per year (max 8 hours paid per day).

· BSH provides ongoing product training, uniforms, computer tablet, cell phone and a company vehicle for eligible positions.
