We are currently looking for a full-time E&P / Upstream Engineer in Houston, TX.
Job Functions:
Serve as the technical liaison and complement to the E&P / Upstream investment banking team on all production and engineering matters
Analyze and extrapolate technical trends and future market conditions, assessing their implications for covered companies
Develop recommendations and prepare documentation to support development and production engineering
Provide technical expertise on emerging areas and plays within the E&P / Upstream sector
Assist in verifying the accuracy of costs and estimates of production capacity evaluations
Conduct well performance analysis, diagnostics and well surveillance
Production, injection data management for daily data reporting and analysis
Identify potential risks and develop strategies for risk mitigation
Interface with the Midstream investment banking team on all production and engineering matters
Requirements:
B.S. in an Engineering Discipline
Petroleum/Reservoir Engineer with three or more years of experience; operational experience a plus
Experience in third-party reserve reporting
Background in drilling well assessments
US / Domestic Onshore experience; International experience not required
Strategic planning experience
Exceptional technical analysis capabilities
Excellent critical thinking and trend analysis skills
Proficient in written communication
Proficient in Excel, Access and PowerPoint
Willingness to travel on a limited basis
Comfortable collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team
Strong communication and listening skills
Significant proficiency with ARIES, ComboCurve, and Spotfire

The anticipated starting salary range for individuals expressing interest in this position is $200,000 - $275,000 per year. Placement within this range is dependent upon level of experience, location and other factors. This position is eligible for annual incentive compensation which will be a part of the total compensation. Total compensation for this position will be competitive with the market.
