ASSISTANT MANAGER – qualia

We are seeking a passionate and experienced hospitality professional who can lead, train, and inspire our front-of-house team while ensuring outstanding guest service in a fast-paced, high-end environment.

About the Role

As the Assistant Manager, you will work closely with the Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations, maintain service excellence, and elevate the overall dining experience for our guests. Your strong leadership skills and attention to detail will ensure the seamless execution of service standards across all dining venues within the resort.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, train, and mentor the Food & Beverage team to uphold luxury service standards
  • Support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring efficiency and consistency
  • Provide exceptional guest service, addressing requests, inquiries, and concerns with professionalism
  • Assist in managing staff schedules, inventory control, and cost management
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations
  • Monitor and uphold the highest standards of food presentation and beverage service
  • Conduct staff performance evaluations and assist in ongoing training and development
  • Foster a positive team culture by motivating and recognizing staff contributions
  • Support in planning and executing special events and VIP guest experiences
  • Handle administrative duties, including financial transactions, reporting, and operational logistics

About You

You are an experienced hospitality professional with a passion for fine dining and exceptional guest experiences. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to lead and inspire a team while maintaining the highest levels of service.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a high-end restaurant or luxury resort
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a dynamic, high-pressure setting
  • Nationally Recognized Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate (Essential)
  • Valid Driver’s Licence (Essential)
  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (Essential)
  • Flexibility with rosters, including weekends, evenings, and split shifts
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering world-class hospitality
