This is skilled work operating, heavy automotive or construction equipment, in Pinellas County Stormwater Drainage Operations. Employees in this classification operate more complex and specialized equipment and are required to exercise skill and care in the operation of equipment. Knowledge of NPDES and FDOT regulations are emphasized. Duties require considerable skill in working efficiently and operating heavy equipment (i.e. vactor truck).
Work location for this position is 22211 US Hwy., 19, Clearwater, FL with a work schedule of Monday - Thursday 7:00AM - 5:30PM.
What Would You Do?
What Do You Need To Have?
6 months experience in the operation of a vactor truck; or
A Public Works Academy training certificate for equipment operators; or
A Pinellas County employee equipment certification that includes experience or training on a vactor truck.
Possession and maintenance of a valid Florida Commercial Driver's License 'B' with tanker endorsement is required.
Assignment to work a variety of work schedules including compulsory work periods in special, emergency, and/or disaster situations.
