Mammography Technologist Yakima, Washington
We are seeking a Mammography Technologist to join our team and support the launch of our new Mobile Mammography Unit! This is a vital expansion of our Women’s Health services. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in both clinical and community outreach settings and is passionate about increasing access to preventive care in underserved areas.
This new service line is part of YVFWC’s commitment to whole-person, community-based care. By bringing mammography directly to rural and underserved areas, we are removing barriers to early detection and empowering women across the Yakima Valley to take charge of their health.

We've transformed into a leading community health center in the Pacific Northwest with 40+ clinics across Washington and Oregon. We offer a wide range of services such as medical, dental, pharmacy, orthodontia, nutritional counseling, autism screening, and behavioral health. Our holistic model also extends assistance to shelter, energy, weatherization, HIV and AIDS counseling, home visits, and mobile medical/dental clinics.
Position Highlights:
$36.39-$53.58/hour DOE
$10,000.00 Hiring Bonus Structure:
At Hire: $3,000.00
At 90 days (3 months): $4,000.00
At 180 days (6 months): $3,000.00
Bonus will be pro-rated based on Full Time Equivalency (FTE)

This position requires travel to various sites in WA
What You’ll Do:
Greet and prepare patients for mammography screenings, verify and enter patient data, and explain procedures to ensure comfort and understanding
Operate and maintain mammography equipment, follow radiation safety protocols, and upload images to patient records
Document services in the EMR, review pathology results, and coordinate follow-up imaging and care
Generate and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports in compliance with regulatory agencies, including FDA, HRSA, and TJC
Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure equipment is clean, sterilized, and functioning properly
Support team operations by prioritizing tasks, filling in for absent staff, and participating in ongoing education and training
Qualifications:
Successful completion of a formal radiologic technology training program, which meets the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
At least 1 year of technical imaging or mammography experience is required
Certified by the State of Washington as a Radiologic Technologist and registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Certified by ARRT specifically in Mammography
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
Strong attention to detail, professionalism, and commitment to patient safety
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred
