Position Overview
The Fisheries Data Specialist/ PTNS Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the U.S. Government's fisheries management efforts by monitoring and managing fisheries-dependent data collected aboard commercial fishing trips. This position involves the maintenance and monitoring of the PTNS, a dynamic web-based tool used to select trips across multiple fisheries and assign observer coverage. The PTNS Coordinator is responsible for providing comprehensive support to various stakeholders, including NOAA staff, industry professionals, and observer service provider companies, ensuring the system's continuous operation and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements
Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident who has lived in the United States at least 3 out of the last 5 years and be able to pass a background investigation to obtain a security badge to access applicable government facilities and systems.

Work will be hybrid schedule based East Falmouth, MA with some U.S./domestic travel as required.
