Job Title: Senior System Analyst - Cloud Database Administrator

Location: India, Remote

What you will do:

• Responsible for providing operational database services to the organization and working under the direct supervision of the systems Lead/Manager.
• Possess extensive experience working with AWS RDS, Redshift, PostgreSQL, Oracle 19c, and following best practices.
• Install and configure AWS Cloud Services/Database components, ensuring access, consistency and integrity. Proficient in IAC/Terraform and have database-specific experience. Knowledge of AWS CLI, Snapshot, Route 53, S3, EC2, Cloudwatch, Replica/AZ.
• Experience administering databases, import/export, basic DBA tasks, table/schema maintenance, supporting RMAN for backups & recovery, and performance tuning.
• Monitor all enterprise database environments, resolve issues (such as data, access, space, performance, etc.) using Cloudwatch/SNS, and have experience in OEM (not mandatory).
• Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses.
• Troubleshoot database issues and plan backup and recovery strategies.
• Proficient in essential SQL and database tuning, have knowledge of Unix and Shell scripting, and experience in Windows and Unix platforms.
• Nice to have experience with AWS DMS and a willingness to learn new technologies.

What you will need:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (preferably BE), with 5-7 years of relevant work experience.
• Certification in AWS/Database.
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•  High level of expertise in parallel operations and parallel executions.
• Knowledge of AWS tools and services to monitor the health of the database and interpret performance monitoring utilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with employees from diverse groups, willingly share knowledge and information, and analyze business needs and processes to develop alternative solutions.
