Our experienced staff know the cybersecurity and operational technology environment well, by providing these capabilities for our customers on a daily basis. Peregrine is in search of a Technical Writer I working remotely.

Summary:

The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing a variety of technical writing support to multiple Cyber Security and other Business Development opportunities. Typical products include proposal documentation, white papers, fact sheets, and responses to government Requests for Information (RFIs). Reports to the Proposal Manager.  This is a part-time position not to exceed 25 hours/week. It is virtual/telework with some schedule flexibility.  Travel may be required 2-3 times per year for 3-5 days per trip.

Essential Job Functions:

• Writes clear, persuasive, and articulate technical documents; translates technical and other ideas into easily understandable text; reviews, edits and rewrites proposal volumes and other related technical documents.
• Identifies improvements to help improve overall business development and contract activity.
• Coordinates personal business travel including making reservations, documenting travel claims, and ensuring all receipts are accounted for.

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

• Bachelor’s degree with a major in Technical Writing, English, Business, or a related technical discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to perform research and develop a variety of technical writing products.
• Excellent writing skills including understanding of grammatical rules, punctuation, sentence structure, and active/passive voice.
• Power-user of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to work in a dynamic team environment with a variety of personnel and organizations.
• Technical writing experience for Federal contracting highly desired.
• Experience with Cyber Security technical writing highly desired

Minimum Qualifications:

• Relevant bachelor’s degree with a minimum of one year of technical writing experience.
• The successful candidate will be required to pass an employer background check.
