Hamilton Island is seeking an experienced Purchasing Officer to join our busy Warehouse and Logistics team on a full time permanent basis.

Under the direction of the Purchasing and Inventory Manager, this position is responsible for releasing market list orders, the general sourcing of goods and the accurate and timely processing of purchase requisitions to ensure continuity of stock and to minimise delays.

To be successful you will have:

  • Must have a demonstrated background in purchasing (Essential)
  • Previous stores background (Essential)
  • Good computer skills (Essential)
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and team focus skills (Essential)
  • Excellent communication and presentation
  • A working understanding of OH&S issues within a warehouse environment
