The SHAZAM Network is expanding their core implementation team.  We are looking for an Implementation Specialist to join our existing staff to provide core processing/platform expertise to our customers.  If you are looking for a fast-paced environment with rewards commensurate with your experience and contributions, we would like to hear from you.

The role of the Implementation Specialist is to provide quality installation and training of the core and platform systems while building a strong foundation for a lasting business relationship.   This includes assisting clients with training, entry of system parameters and development of any new departmental procedures that may be required.  A review and comparison of databases is required to prepare mapping specifications for programmers and build a system database for customers.  Various testing throughout the project cycle is required and an extensive review of the parameters and data output with client is necessary to ensure the system is set up correctly and the customer understands the options available.  Some support and training assistance is required during and post conversion.  As an Implementation Specialist, you may spend as much as three weeks at the bank of which two weeks are typically back to back.


  • Responsible for all aspects of converting a bank from one core/platform accounting system to SHAZAM Core Services systems.
  • Responsible for mapping of data, verification, workflow, procedures, process, G/L, loans, and deposits.
  • May work with back office functions, teller operations, new account opening process, lending practices, report generation/customization, general ledger, and general community bank operations and workflow.
  • May work with ancillary banking product providers including but not limited to Online Banking, IVR, ATM, and Item Processing.
  • Documents product issues and works with development/support on resolution.
  • Assists the Support Team on an ongoing basis as needed when not actively working on an implementation and following a conversion during the post-conversion period.
  • Travels to customer site for mapping session and implementation.


  • Previous bank conversion experience and/or backroom banking experience (internal operations/back room operations – DDA, GL, loans, teller) preferred.
  • SHAZAM Core Services experience or other core provider experience a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to approximately 50% of time depending upon the business need.  Can include some back-to-back overnight and weekend trips.
  • Demonstrated PC experience (Microsoft Office Professional).
  • Demonstrated IBM iSeries OS knowledge a plus.
  • Demonstrated basic computer OS (Windows) trouble shooting skills
  • Experience with use of a customer ticket tracking system preferred.
  • Ability to recognize problems and react quickly.
  • Organized, detail oriented and dependable work habits.
  • Must be highly motivated and fully engaged with a commitment to high standards/zero defect mindset.
  • Strong customer service skills required.
  • Ability to work under the pressure of deadlines, to work overtime and/or be “on call” as needed.
