FuseFX has an opening in Los Angeles! We have an opportunity at our studio for an experienced and talented Product Implementation Manager

FuseFX is an award-winning Visual Effects Studio providing visual effects services for episodic television, feature films, commercials, virtual productions, and VR. Founded in 2006, the company employs 800+ personnel across eight studio locations and three brands. Our flagship studio is in Los Angeles, CA, with locations in New York City, Vancouver, BC., and Atlanta. Our Montreal, Toronto, and Bogota studios are serviced by FOLKS VFX, who joined FuseFX in 2020. The Adelaide, Australia studio is serviced by Rising Sun Pictures, who joined FuseFX in 2021.

The Product Implementation Manager is responsible for executing key tasks for ShotGrid software implementation at FuseFX businesses worldwide. This role will coordinate and prioritize project tasks, maintain project plans and communicate statuses to FuseFX Technology and Leadership throughout the lifecycle of the implementation project.   This role will manage the rollout of training for the entire studio including live, recorded, written and ad hoc training materials.  The position will suggest upgrades and enhancements to the workflow of ShotGrid as requested by studio team.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Manage the training, business process analysis, documentation, system testing, data migration, and general ShotGrid support to roll product out to the studio. 
  • Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)/system documentation for ShotGrid within the studio.
  • Develop the environment for Shotgrid system testing, validation and iteration.
  • Oversee the rollout of training for a large production team spanning multiple offices.
  • Custom interface requirements capture and documentation, including recommending updates.
  • Support the FuseFX Pipeline Team in rolling out new releases of versions/updates.
  • Provide product feedback from end-users to FuseFX Pipeline Team and Studio Leadership 
  • Assist internal clients in building and maintain their own custom reports within their production/show environments as needed.
  • Additional project support to roll Shotgrid out as needed.

  Traits of a Successful Product Implementation Manager:

  • At least 3-5 years of work experience, in implementation of software product, preferably within a production, Animation and/or VFX content-creation houses.
  • Experience as a user and implementer of cloud-based and hosted solutions for ShotGrid application for globally-dispersed facilities desired. 
  • Knowledge of the underlying relational databases (Filelmaker, ShotGrid) preferred.  
  • Ability to train users on software in a concise, persuasive and effective manner both live, recorded and written.
  • Strong organization skills required to maintain transformation from current system to the Shotgrid system. 
  • Proficient in project management and reporting tools (MS Project, Asana, etc.) 
  • Excellent customer service mindset including the ability to resolve communication flow.
  • Able to handle the interpersonal relationships with users at every studio site, to help them through the change management process 
  • Possess a high level of intellectual curiosity, and demonstrate strong judgment in the face of ambiguity. 
  • Willingness to travel as needed to other facilities.
